FOX Sports' FIFA World Cup 2026 Coverage to Make Network Television History
FOX Sports has announced that the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup will be a historic television event. With all 104 matches set to be broadcast live on FOX (69) and FS1 (35), viewers can also stream every match on FOX One and the FOX Sports App. This marks a significant increase in live matches on FOX, making it the most extensive coverage in network television history.
The 69 live matches on FOX will more than double the number of matches broadcast in the 2022 tournament and represent about two-thirds of the matches on broadcast television. Additionally, FOX Sports will provide over 340 hours of programming around the tournament, including pre- and post-match coverage, with more matches airing in primetime than ever before.
FOX Sports CEO and Executive Producer, Eric Shanks, expressed excitement about the network’s extensive coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, calling it the largest production in the company’s history. The tournament, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will feature 48 teams playing across 16 host cities. The U.S. men’s national team will participate in their 12th World Cup, with group stage matches scheduled in various cities.
The complete broadcast schedule will be revealed after the World Cup draw, which will be aired live on FOX. This edition of the World Cup promises to be a unique television event with more teams, superstars, storylines, and captivating moments than ever before.
