AC Milan Confirms Christian Pulisic Hamstring Injury on US Duty

Last Updated: October 26, 2025By

AC Milan confirmed on Friday that Christian Pulisic injured his right hamstring while playing for the United States in a friendly match this week. An MRI scan revealed a low-grade tear, and he will be reevaluated in about 10 days. Pulisic, who has been a standout player for Milan this season, may target a return for a city derby against Inter Milan on Nov. 23.

The injury occurred during a match against Australia at the Colorado Rapids’ stadium when Pulisic appeared to overstretch his right leg. Despite the setback, Pulisic’s recovery time is estimated to be around three weeks, potentially allowing him to return in time for upcoming friendlies against Paraguay and Uruguay.

Looking ahead, the U.S. team is gearing up for its World Cup opener on June 12 at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles. The opponent will be determined at the finals tournament draw on Dec. 5 in Washington DC.
